The 23BA20 board has sixteen output relays,Twogroups of eight contacts have the same common re-turn.

This allows to split the output channels only totwo different process voltage sources.

ProcessingfunctionThe I/O micro controller (EAP Ein-Ausgabe-Prozes-sor /Input- output processor) activates any outputforced by the VAP of CMU (CMU = communicationunit) by a command output request.

The EAP con-trols the time duration ofa pulse outputby the loadedpulse length time value.

OutputmonitoringandsupervisionAny output is checked and monitored by the EAP bydifferent tests and supervision functions:
