The programmable controller system PROCONTlC b is anautomation system which can be harmonized in an ideal waywith all needs due to its fine modularity. This applies to the mainframes with different capacities with respect to the programstorage and a set ofinstructions adapted to the tasks as well asto various grades of expandability of the operating storage andthe complete range of input and output devices.
All devices of the PROCONTlC b system are fuily upwardcompatible,i.e,programms from"littile"systems can be used for"big" systems as well, The conirol routine can grow with thetasks.

In the PROCONTiC b system every l/O slot is precisely allocatedto one PROCONTiC address. This means that if an inputouput device is pfugged into the unit it gets the address of therespective siot as its group number, Thereby the setting of theaddress becomes unnecessary. Even in case of an exchangeof devices the allocation between the PROCONTlC b addressand the device is restored hereby.
